Awards Double For Spider Men

Spiders manager Billy landed the Scottish Football League Third Division Manager Of The Month award for Queen's performances in November. Victories over Albion Rovers and Montrose (2v1 and 3v0) lifted Spiders into 2nd and extended our winning run to 5 games. We then drew with Second Division Brechin City in the Scottish Cup before sharing the spoils with Stenhousemuir at Hampden in the crunch league encounter.

We then undeservedly crashed out of the cup by 2 -1 against Brechin in the replay despite Paul Ronald's wondergoal in the first half and some stunning Spiders football. A well deserved award for Billy.

20 year old striker David Weatherston was also awarded the Scottish Football League Young Player Of The Month due to his great form. He set up both goals against Rovers before bagging a double at Montrose. He followed this up with sparking performances against Brechin (twice) and Stenhousemuir to keep the bigger clubs sniffing around him. He has scored 7 goals so far this season.
