Wrinkly rockers The Rolling Stones play Hampden on Friday 25th August and this concert engagement for the National Stadium has brought doubt over where Queen's Park will play against SPL side Aberdeen on either Tuesday 22nd August or Wednesday 23rd August at our home ground.
A few days is normally needed to set up the stage and ready the ground to host concerts and this means that Queen's could be forced to go elsewhere for the CIS Cup 2nd Round match.
The official website (www.queensparkfc.co.uk) said "Because of concert commitments at Hampden, the exact location and date of the tie have still to be confirmed, but we will be the home side, and the match will be played on either Tuesday, August 22 or Wednesday, August 23.
Possible venues could include Airdrie United's Excelsior Stadium, Partick Thistle's Firhill Stadium and New Douglas Park of Hamilton Academical, beaten by Queen's Park 2-1 on Tuesday night in the 1st Round.
There could also be a chance that the game could be switched to Aberdeen's Pittodrie Stadium. This would be the second time that games have been switched due to concert's, Robbie Williams Hampden date on 2nd September has forced Queen's scheduled home game against Berwick Rangers the day after to be moved to Berwick's Shielfield Park.
