Queens's travelled to Firs Park and returned with a comfortable 5-0 win. The Spiders took it right to the Falkirk outfit and it took sixteen minutes to take the lead. Frankie Carroll got to the end of an Alan Trouten cross.Just before the half hour mark Queen's made it two. Ally Graham powered the ball forward and Frankie put pressure on David Harvey who sent a looping clearance over his own keeper. By the end of the half the shire should have been level Sean Donaldson sent a shot and only an Alan Trouten clearance of the line kept us level. Two minutes later Mark Ross sent a free-kick crashing and only the slightest touch by David Crawford kept it 2-0.
The second half was all one way traffic and only 67 seconds after the restart Ally Graham chipped the ball over Gilpin from the far left to secure the match. From then on QP basically played with the Shire and when Frankie Carroll put his header wide at the back post it was looking as if a 4th was inevitable and you would be right. Molloy put a cross into the box, Blair knocked it back across goal and Carroll comfortably made it 4-0. Carroll , Graham & Kettlewell all missed good chances before Stuart whipped in a cross then the hapless David Harvey lobbed his own goalie.
