Queen's Park missed the chance to take the initiative in the playoff race and handed the baton to Arbroath with a defeat at Gayfield.
Abroath started strong and both Jon Voigt and Gavin Swankie came close within minutes of the kick off. The first half was all Arbroath and with Queen's playing against the wind DC was a busy goalkeeper.
Queen's chances were limited, only Ferry and Harvey managed to test Peat in the Red Lichties goal.
The second half was the same as we had seen all season, chance after chance squandered by our misfiring forward line. Bryan Felvus and David Weatherston both should have done better with one-on-one opportunities. Dunlop and Reilly both had golden chances from only yards out, Peat made a great save from Mick and Reilly blazed over with a deflection from Raeside.
Queen's kept pressing, Harvey curled a 40 yard free kick just wide of the mark after decieving Peat who then done well to tip over Tony Quinn's header.
Three points dropped by Queen's again, but it can still be done, with Arbroath playing Elgin on Saturday, We have a great chance to overtake the Lichties while we play Montrose.
Keep the Faith.
