Queen's pre-season continued with a promising draw at home to First Division St.Mirren.

There was a few changes made from the side that was beat by Motherwell on Saturday. Andy McGinty, David Weatherston & Steven Gibson were replaced by Stuart Kettlewell, Richard Bowers & Shaun Molloy.

The first chance for either side came on 13 minutes when a Bryan Felvus effort was held by the Saint's keeper.

On the 19th Minute St.Mirren took the lead. Chris Hay layed off ex-Partick Thistle striker Armand One who fired past an outstretched Crawford in the Queen's goal.

Moments after Queen's produced two good chances. Mark Ferry & Stuart Kettlewell denied by the Buddies Goalkeeper.

Queen's were forced into a change on the half-hour mark. Ross Clark was struggling with a leg injury and he was replaced by John Weir.

He made a nearly instant impact. Shaun Molloy played through Weir who lost control of the ball in the six yard box, he challenged the Buddies 'keeper to the loose ball which neither won, but, Mark Ferry drilled a left foot shot through the net. After much confusion the ref awarded the goal.

The second half started and Queen's made three changes on the hour. Jonny Whelan, Brendan McIlduff and A Trialist replaced Stuart Kettlewell, Richard Bowers & Shaun Molloy.

On the 73rd Minute the Buddies took the lead again. Craig Molloy wriggled about the box and after outwitting Steven Reilly fired a shot in off the post.

But, almost instantly, Queen's responded. The evergreen Jonny Whelan beat a defender on the wing and swung in a cross which Mark Ferry powerfully headed into the back of the net.

Seconds later Queen's nearly took the lead. A Paul Harvey cross found a stooping Damiano Agostini whose header was held by the 'keeper.

A promising display by Queen's with Hamilton Accies next up.
