SW Eppendorf 0 - 1 Queen's Park

Last updated : 24 July 2008 By Andyboy
Eppendorf set out with defensive tactics on a muggy night in North West Germany and a youthful Queen's side missing stalwarts Damiano Agostini and Tony Quinn, left behind in Glasgow, struggled to make the breakthrough.

Chances were at a premium but Ross Dunlop did force a decent save from the Eppendorf keeper. David Murray and Adam Coakley both had decent opportunities before Queen's eventually took the lead on the hour mark. A cross by Martin Ure was missed badly by Coakley, but Ross Dunlop appeared at the back post to sweep the ball past the goalkeeper. Queen's did have a few more chances before the end and could have extended their lead.

Sub Paul Cairney first forced a decent save from the keeper before Adam Coakley missed two gilt edged opportunities to wrap up the win.
